Class Schedule
Lessons take place on Monday to Friday.
The schedule for language classes is:
09:00 to 13:00 – Standard
13:00 to 14:40- Lunch break
14:00 to 16:00 (plus morning classes) – Intensive
It is important to vary the teaching methods used in our Portuguese courses as much as possible. Every group and person is different, thus our teachers use an individual approach and flexibly adapt their teaching methods to the students' respective learning needs. We supplement various course books with original teaching materials such as newspaper and magazine articles, audio/visual materials and activities inside and outside of class.
Students are encouraged to practice spoken Portuguese in real-life situations, with the teacher, and with other participants, in pairs and groups. Many activities outside of school are created with this idea of oral communication as well.
You should bring a dictionary, notebooks and colored pens. It is useful to have 2 notebooks, one for new vocabulary, and one for the exercises in class. Textbooks and other teaching materials are provided, but it is advisable to have a good system of keeping your notes together.
Activities & Excursions
Every week there are planned excursions to different tourist attractions and cultural places of interest around the area. For each excursion there is a tour guide who gives a thorough explanation of the site and a presentation to the students. Teachers give students an introduction to the site they will be visiting before the trip.
Booking this vacation is easy and we accept most major credit cards. We require a deposit of $300 and a completed booking form. After checking availability we normally confirm a booking within 24 hours.
