Spanish Language Immersion in Havana
On first sight, Havana appears faded, with peeling paint and shabby buildings, but a walk through Old Havana (La Habana Vieja) reveals glorious Spanish colonial architecture, much of it under restoration. Visitors can spend hours strolling the streets peeping through half open doorways into cool courtyards and admiring the intricate balconies adorning many of the buildings.
A good overview of the city can be enjoyed from the observatory at the top of the Jose Marti Memorial in
Revolution Square. Alternatively, a stroll along the Malecon, the sea front walk, gives a wonderful view of Havana's cityscape.
Museum lovers will be spoilt for choice as lots of the old buildings now house collections. Lovers of old colonial architecture should make their way back to Miramar (school area) a residential area to the west of Vedado with grand old mansions.
Havana is one of the most beautiful and architecturally diverse cities in the world. Its architecture mirrors its rich social and political history from the graceful colonial and baroque period to modern brutal tower blocks.

School details
Our Spanish classes in Havana will be held at a professor´s home, at your host family´s house or for some small groups at a Cuban cultural center. In all three cases you will be learning Spanish while surrounded by native speakers and Havana´s rich culture.
All teachers are university graduates and have been well trained in the teaching of Spanish to foreigners.

4 lessons daily: (20 group lessons per week) 6 lessons daily: (20 group lessons & 10 private lessons per week)
:: We accept all language levels / ages 18+
:: Unlimited course length
:: A "lesson" usually lasts approx. 50 minutes
:: Course runs Monday through Friday (mornings or afternoons)
:: Course materials are included
:: Placement test & orientation on first day of course
:: Maximum 3 students per group class
Please Note: Classes are held at the home of your teacher, at your host family’s house, or in mini-groups at a Cuban cultural center. Students are informed about the location of their classes upon arrival.
Please Note: The school reserves the right to change a group course into One to One in case there is no other student at the same level. If this happens, there will be a reduction of class hours of 25%.

Arrival airport: HAVANA
Havana has an international airport with good connections to Canada, Bahamas, Jamaica, Mexico, Latin America and Europe. The airport is located approx. 20 km outside of the city. If students plan to stay longer than 2 months, they will require a visa from the Cuban government.
